Where to watch the Six Nations in Battersea
Rugby fans in Battersea are not short of places to watch the big matches so we’ve picked out some of our favourites.
The Merchant, Battersea Rise - for the atmosphere
There's always some form of sport being shown at The Merchant of Battersea so you can be certain that the screens will be big and the atmosphere lively. Be warned, it can get pretty busy so arrive early or try to reserve a table if you can to bag your front row seat.
The Latchmere, Battersea Park Road - for the parents
This could be a great choice if you want to watch the rugby but have children in tow. There's a little play area out in the garden for the kids (although granted that's probably a bit unappealing with the current cold snap) meaning you can potentially watch the matches whilst they play.
Northcote Records, Northcote Road - for the party animals
You may not think of Northcote Records as the most obvious place to watch rugby, but you catch all the action there, on a massive HD screen, followed by a mega after-party with live music until 3am.
The Eagle, Chatham Road - for the real rugby nuts
This pub truly has rugby running through it's veins and they get very excited about the 6 Nations. As well as showing the action inside the pub, they've setup a special viewing area out the back, complete with garden heaters, fire pit and sofas! Add in one of Battersea's best real ale selections and you've got yourself a recipe for a great day.
Battersea Brewery - for the beer fans
If you fancy watching your rugby in the surrounds of a brewery, then why not head down to Battersea Brewery, located in the Circus West Village complex at Battersea Power Station. You can catch all the action alongside freshly brewed Scotch Ales and tasty nibbles, toasties & sharing boards.
