Battersea Charities Week is taking place from 24th -29th June, and is an opportunity for anyone from a local charity, social enterprise or community group to network and share skills. There are 10 free sessions over the course of 5 themed days, culminating with the annual Falcon Road Festival. Themes include funding, volunteer management and communications. The week of events has been organised by a committee of local community leaders including David Stone from Big Local SW11 and Aaron Barbour from Katherine Low Settlement.
One of those looking forward to the events is Annaliese Boucher, who setup her own community interest company called 'SEN Talks' in 2016: "I’m excited about meeting others who also want to make a difference in the community. I feel after Battersea Charities Week I’ll be better placed to signpost people to other great projects, and will hopefully form some great partnerships".
